Weddings are Expensive!

Are you planning your wedding and trying to set a budget? Everyone knows weddings can be very expensive. The latest studies by The Knot found that the cost of weddings has gone up since the pandemic with the average cost being $30,000. Many couples have found themselves going into debt paying for their wedding. To avoid having this happen, there are a number of ways you can save money. First, consider selecting a date for your wedding that is not the peak wedding season. Learn what flowers are in season and use those for bouquets and centerpieces. When looking at venues select one that provides all the reception essentials--tables, chairs, etc.--so you don't need to rent those separately. Purchasing a department store wedding gown rather than a store that only sells wedding gowns can save you money too. Many couples are choosing to send out wedding e-vites instead of paper invitations which not only eliminates the cost of invitations but postage as well. Just be careful because the expenses for a wedding add up very quickly. Everyone wants a magical wedding and celebration but no one should want to go into debt to make that happen.
